The Green Dragon

The Green Dragon

There has been a building on the site since twelfth century, although the first recorded landlord took charge in 1607.

The cosy wood beamed bar boasts a flagstoned floor and large log burning open fire and is decorated with such sailing paraphernalia as charts, logs, portholes, blocks, paintings of boats, flags and books. The pub is also supposed to have a tunnel under the floor leading down to the beach.

A varied menu offering locally caught fresh fish, pheasant casserole and an extensive range of wines, ales and cider is available as well as a special children’s menu.

Facilities include free wi-fi and dogs are welcome in the bar.

Outside the school summer holidays the pub is sometimes closed in the afternoons between 3:00pm and 5:30pm, so please check before visiting.
