Russell Sinclair

Russell Sinclair

Russell Sinclair is a singer and songwriter whose music is inspired by genres such as folk, acoustic, blues and Americana, bridging the gaps between artists as diverse as Johnny Cash and Stevie Ray Vaughan to mention a few.

His earnest and evocative blend of lyricism is a big part of his music, while his approach as a storyteller is emotional, yet highly relatable; thanks to the contrast between his intimate tunes and his high energy and engaging live performance.

The Smokin' Locos He is often to be seen with his band, the Smokin' Locos, whose lineup changes quite frequently: both the faces behind the instruments and the nature and number of the instruments themselves. That’s partly deliberate and partly due simply to availability of personnel at the time. The core of the band is drums, bass, saxophone and harmonica.

From time to time additional instruments may be added if the music benefits from it and at such times you will see the numbers in the band grow for a while i an attempt to keep things fresh and alive by introducing new sounds and people with ideas.
