Jo Beth Young established her unique sound early on in Ireland. Cutting her teeth on the folk circuit, she returned to the UK and met her long-term collaborator Martyn Barker and caught the attention of Chris Difford who sang on her debut EP.

As a live artist, she has opened for acts such as Renaissance, Boo Hewardine, Julia Biel, Antonio Forcione and Shriekback, and sold out headline shows in Sussex and Devon.

Although compared to Kate Bush, Stevie Nicks, Mazzy Star, Tori Amos and threading through Pink Floyd-esque sounds, it is still hard to pin down her sounds and influences. That said, there are hints of her classical singing beginnings, her Celtic studies and her love of early prog, Tim Buckley and Nick Drake.
