All My Sons
Arthur Miller's play, performed at the Old Vic and being shown here on screen, is set in America in 1947. Despite hard choices and even harder knocks, Joe and Kate Keller are a success story. They have built a home, raised two sons and established a thriving business. But nothing lasts forever and their contented lives, already shadowed by the loss of their eldest boy to war, are about to shatter. With the return of a figure from the past, long buried truths are forced to the surface and the price of their American dream is laid bare.

There are three theatres, a learning centre, theatre tours, restaurants, a riverside bar and a bookshop. Our productions also play in the West End and on tour. We broadcast to cinemas worldwide through National Theatre Live, stream plays free to UK schools, and produce a wealth of digital content about theatre. The NT aspires to reflect in its repertoire the diversity of the nation’s culture. With a commitment to openness, wide reaching engagement and access for everyone, the National shares its resources, energy and creativity with audiences and theatre-makers around the globe; using its Studio for research and development of new work, offering extensive learning and public engagement programmes, touring and broadcasting in the UK and internationally, and creating innovative digital content.
