The Riverford Field Kitchen

The Riverford Field Kitchen

The Riverford Field Kitchen has its own garden metres away from the restaurant. This is where our head gardener Penny works her green-fingered magic and grows a variety of crops for us to have fun with in the restaurant: fresh herbs, radishes, spicy rocket leaves, unusual tomato varieties, strawberries and raspberries for summer desserts.

Growing our own not only allows us to serve you veg that’s truly fresh from the soil, but also lets us experiment with using every part of the plant, and at all stages of development, such as capering wild garlic and coriander seeds.

Uniquely, there is just the one sitting at both lunch and dinner and the whole restaurant is served at the same time, with generous platters of food to pass around and share.

We only prepare and cook the amount of food for the number of people that are coming, so you need to book your places at the table in advance.
