Once, Keith Wilford and Dave Heap were Total Strangers. Together, as a duo, they performed over 3,500 gigs. And, before that, during the 1980s, along with drummer Dave Hacker, they had both been members of Mercedes.

Then Keith and Dave decided to reform Mercedes, this time with Malcolm Middleton on keyboards and Dave Holmes on drums. But, a mere two years later, Dave Heap opted to join Quo tribute outfit Status Clone. Once again, Mercedes was no more. And Keith was now A Total Stranger, appearing this time as a solo.

This he still does. However, he has once again reincarnated Mercedes with Dave Heap and drummer Weve Stillman.
